Loved this trip down memory lane! I remember Harold and Tim well but I really enjoyed learning how Harold encouraged you in your writing. He was a gifted man of various and multiple talents and YFC was fortunate to have him. I always read everything Tim wrote and would love to know where he ended up. You have certainly learned from the best!

Philip – As an English teacher in the 70’s, a parent told me he would donate enough copies of “Oranges” by John McPhee if I would use it as a text. That was my introduction to his work and I have read so much of what he has written! Thank you for this recollection.

Thank you for following the writing path as it has encouraged me through the years. As I struggled with the conflict of Christians and what God’s Word states, it was encouraging to realize that there are others who question the actions of those in the church who yield power and hate rather than mercy and grace. This morning I took your book “Prayer: does it make any difference?” off our book shelf. Most of your books are on our shelves, minus several which we loaned out and never came back. My husband and I have read each book sometimes more than once. I’ve read your book on Prayer three times already. I’m sharing this to thank you for working so hard at writing. None of your books reflect a lazy author willing to glide past hard questions or use mundane “to be” verbs. As you wrestle words onto paper or the screen, your fight has always strengthed my faith in Jesus. You are more than a wordsmith. You’re an encourager. You give your readers hope. Thank you.
